It is the second of a series exploring the Psalms, the ancient songs of all God’s people. (See the first one here.)

This edition explores Psalm 91, a wonderful song of all God’s people where the writer says:

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
    will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
    my God, in whom I trust.” (NIV)

Each mini-mag comes with:

• a sheet of stickers with promises from the Psalm on them

The creative activities provide a variety of fun and accessible ways to explore the Psalm and pray together, including:

• doing actions as you listen to the Psalm being read (there are links to audio versions you can use)
• sticker bingo – listen out for the promises which God says in the psalm

• a prayer poster using the words of the psalm to pray for yourself and others
• Prayer angels to make to remind you of how God commands his angels to protect you
• feather prayers – an activity to do as you play outside
• Something to ponder – a little bit about a Hebrew word in the psalm and a question to help older children and adults ponder it
• a fortress building activity
• a mini prayer book to make and use to chat with God

There’s an activity to help you chat and create something open-ended in response to the verse, and Something to Ponder with open-ended questions which makes it something for all the family, including the adults!
